Funky Puppet Circus Supper 2000

The Funky Puppet Circus Supper invites you to "join us for an enticing evening of interactive puppetry mayhem circus spectacle, and a three ring organic vegetarian fare!" This event not only entertains you, it makes you part of the show. There are crafting tables in the Puppet Lounge, where you take recycled materials and make your own puppet for the evening. "No puppet, no service" is the sign that hangs at the front entrance...Children and adults are encouraged to either bring their own favorite puppet, or to make their own. The Commedia family, actors, and wait staff interact with the audience's puppets while serving the food and dishing out top-rate puppetry, music, dance, and much more.
The 2000 Funky Puppet Circus featured: Puppets Rorschach, Zoopy Funky Puppets, Monkey Thump Percussive Puppetry, Neither Neither Puppet Theater, the Ethereal Trapeze of Amanda Starr, Quasi Moto Trio with Brian Welch, Random Ramsden, and James Ryder, The Tinkering of Fran Holland, All-Star Stilts, The Puppetry of Ian Greeb, David Morley, Jo Jo La Plume, and Jonathan Youtt, and the food of Masterchef Mark Starr...oh, and you, the audience.

Funky Puppet Supper 2

Our second annual Funky Puppet Supper saw more of everything: more dancing, more music, more food, more puppets, and more shows. After having a successful two-day run, the whole cast and crew threw a "leftover" performance free for the community at large. Other community projects included the successful crafting tables in the Puppet Lounge, mask-making workshops for the performers, Commedia workshops, and even more audience interaction. Puppet Cabaret

Would you like to have the Funky Puppet Supper crew come to your place to perform? Well, we are currently working on tinkering our supper-themed performance and putting it in a school, club, restaurant, bar, or festival near you. How, I say, how do you think it can be done? By sheer mind and body power. You see, the whole group has linked talent, mind, and body (and souls for some) to concoct a malleable event that can most likely suit your personal tastes. Work with us, and we'll work with you. Collaboration is the name of the game we call art...please click below if you're interested in any of our educational, participatory, entertaining events. You won't be sorry.
